To clear it is possible (to replace) the mesh filter and to replace diaphragms, without removing the pump from the engine. But for convenience of work the fuel pump is better to remove and sort it on white paper or fabric.

We uncover and is taken accurately out the mesh filter. |
We examine the inlet valve (for what we press on it the thin screw-driver), if necessary we improve its situation in a saddle. We wash out the filter in solvent and we blow compressed air.

The final valve is checked as well as inlet. We wash out the top part of the case in gasoline and we blow in it compressed air.

... and consistently we remove: top steel cup, two working diaphragms, external and internal remote laying, lower cup and washer. |
That at removal and dismantling of the pump not to damage a safety diaphragm which sticks to the case and laying over time we separate it a thin knife or the flat probe. Having cleared the filter and having replaced the torn diaphragms, we assemble the pump as it should be, the return to dismantling.

After assembly of the pump we check its working capacity. We lower the entrance union of the pump in the container with gasoline and several times we press the lever of manual pumping. At the same time from the final union there has to be a pulsing fuel stream. It means that diaphragms of the pump are whole. Again we lower the pump an entrance branch pipe in gasoline and, having stopped up with a finger the output union, the lever of manual pumping we create pressure in an internal cavity of the pump. Through 10 — 15 with, having released a finger, we check existence in the pump of residual pressure — gasoline has to come out a stream. If it is not observed, check tightness of connections of parts of the case and valves. If the inhaling of screws did not possible to restore tightness, it is better to replace the pump with new. |
