16.10.2. Repair of a starter


We remove a starter from the engine (see Replacement of a starter).

Key "on 13" we weaken an inhaling of a nut of fastening of a wire to the traction relay...

... also we disconnect a wire tip.

We give tension 12B on a relay conclusion...

... "minus" – on the case, and an ohmmeter is connected to contact bolts. At the same time at the serviceable relay the anchor has to put forward the obgonny coupling in a window of a forward cover, and contact bolts – to become isolated. We replace the faulty traction relay new.

By the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off three screws...

... also we remove the traction relay.

From the case of the relay we take out a rod with a spring.

We install the new traction relay in the return sequence.

For further dismantling of a starter by the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off two screws...

... also we uncover.

For check of a condition of brushes the shlitsevy screw-driver we unscrew the screw of fastening of a contact wire...

... and, having wrung out the screw-driver a spring, we take a brush. By the same way it is taken three remained brushes. We replace the brushes which are worn out up to the height of 12 mm and less.

Connecting an ohmmeter in turn to conclusions of windings of the stator, we check them for short circuit on the case and on mezhvitkovy short circuit. At the same time we are convinced that free conclusions of windings are isolated from the case.

Having hooked the screw-driver, we remove a lock ring.

We remove a washer from an axis.

Key "on 10" we turn off two coupling bolts...

... also we take out them.

We separate the case of a starter and we take out from it insulating tubes of coupling bolts.

External survey we check a condition of a collector and windings. The carbonization of windings is not allowed. At an insignificant obgoraniye of a collector we smooth out its plates a small abrasive skin. At a strong obgoraniye and wear it is better to replace an anchor. Teases and a navolakivaniye of bronze from bearings on necks of a shaft of an anchor we eliminate with the smallest skin with the subsequent polishing.

Ohmmeter we check anchor windings for short circuit. The faulty anchor is replaced.

From a cover of the drive we take out a rubber sealant.

We remove an adjusting washer from an anchor axis. At assembly it needs to be established into place.

Rasshplintovyvayem lever axis.

To small beards we beat out an axis...

... also we take out an anchor with the drive.

Having hooked the screw-driver, we remove the lever of the drive of the obgonny coupling.

The gear wheel has to rotate easily in one party and not rotate in another, not have chips and забоин on a zakhodny part of teeths. At wear of a gear wheel or malfunction of the coupling we change knot assembled.

Operev an anchor axis on wooden whetstone, through a key "on 13" we force down the limiter from a lock ring.

Having hooked the screw-driver, we remove a lock ring.

We remove from an axis the limiter and the obgonny coupling assembled with a drive gear wheel.

Having changed the coupling assembled, we put into place a lock ring and we put on the limiter a conical pro-point to an anchor winding.
The limiter napressovyvay on a lock ring blows of the hammer through a key "on 13".

With compressed air it is deleted coal dust from the case and the brush holder. We grease the Povodkovy ring and plastic surfaces contacting to it with Litolom-24 or lubricant No. 158. Basic bearings – we oil rotor plugs, screw vents of a shaft of an anchor and a nave of the obgonny coupling engine.
Further assembly is carried out as it should be, the return to dismantling.

Before assembly of a starter insert coupling bolts of the case into the corresponding openings.

ATTENTION! If isolated was only one bolt, the insulating tube at assembly of a starter is put on on that which can concern the copper tire connecting starter stator windings.

To latch a lock ring, we draw in a starter anchor via the cover plug from the drive.
