 PERFORMANCE ORDER

We merge oil from a reducer case, we turn off an adjusting nut and we remove a lock washer.

Key "on 10" we turn off four bolts of fastening of the top cover of a reducer.

We bring a head of the adjusting screw out of a groove on a shaft of a bipod and we uncover.

When replacing a shaft of a bipod the axial gap between a screw head and a groove of a shaft is eliminated with selection of thickness of an adjusting plate. The size of a gap is allowed no more than 0,05 mm. Plates have thickness from 1,95 to 2,20 mm with a step through 0,025 mm.

We take out a bipod shaft with a roller from a case.

Key "on 10" we turn off four bolts of fastening of a cover of a shaft of a worm and...

... we remove it together with laying of adjustment of ball bearings.

Laying is issued 0,1 and 0,15 mm thick.

Easy blows of the hammer from soft metal we beat out a shaft of a worm from a reducer case together with the bearing.

On face surfaces of a worm racetracks for balls of bearings are executed.

Having hooked the screw-driver, we take out a cuff of a shaft of a worm.

Similarly we take out a bipod shaft cuff.

To small beards we beat out an external ring of the second bearing.

We wash out all details in kerosene or diesel fuel. Carefully we check absence on working surfaces of a roller and a worm of wear tracks, zadir or damages. The gap between shaft of a bipod and bronze plugs should not exceed 0,1 mm. Ball bearings have to rotate freely, without jamming, on surfaces of rings, separators and balls should not be damages and wear tracks. On the case cracks of any length are not allowed. We replace the worn-out and damaged details serviceable. We replace cuffs new anyway. Before assembly it is oiled all internal details gearbox.

Easy blows of the hammer to a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter we press a ring of the internal bearing in a case.

It is possible to press a bearing ring by means of the device for replacement of rubber-metal hinges of a forward suspension bracket (see Appendices).

We establish in a bearing ring a separator with balls and we insert a shaft of a worm. We put on a separator of the external bearing it and easy blows of the hammer we press an external ring. We put a cover with laying and...

... we press cuffs of a shaft of a worm and a bipod, having greased working edges with Litol-24 lubricant.

We establish in a case a worm. A set of adjusting laying we expose the moment of its provorachivaniye from 2 to 5 кгс.см. We establish a shaft of a bipod and we regulate a gap in gearing on the shaft provorachivaniye moment. It has to make 7–9 кгс.см at turn of a shaft of a worm on 30 ° to the left and to the right and to decrease smoothly to 5 кгс.см at further turn against the stop.
We fill in in a case gearbox oil to the level of the lower edge of a jellied opening (0,215 l).
