12.2. Replacement of lubricant in a nave. Replacement of bearings and cuff of a nave

Replacement of bearings and cuff of a nave

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

For carrying out these works we remove a nave from a rotary fist.

We take out brake shoes and we remove a support (see Replacement of a support of a brake of a forward wheel).

The support is suspended in a wheel niche so that the hose of a supply of brake fluid did not stretch.

We turn off a nut of a nave and we remove a washer and an internal holder of the external bearing.

If necessary, if in way the separator of the external bearing collapsed, we do not press off an external ring of the bearing, and we replace only its internal part. However at the first opportunity we install entirely the new bearing.

Carefully, trying not to damage a cuff, we remove a nave together with a brake disk from an axis of a rotary fist.

Key "on 12" we turn off two directing pins and …

… we remove a brake disk and a remote ring from a nave.

We clear an internal cavity of a nave of old lubricant, we wash out all details kerosene and we put fresh lubricant.

To take out an external ring of the external bearing, we fix a nave in a vice. Borodk, trying not to damage a nave, we beat perimeter of an external ring of the bearing and …

… we beat out it from a nave.

We take out a cuff of a nave, having hooked it the screw-driver.

Under a cuff the remote plug is installed.

The internal bearing is deleted from a nave as well as external.

We press external rings of bearings in a vice, using the corresponding rings from old bearings.

Old rings should be focused the smaller diameter of a cone in a nave to facilitate their removal after a press fitting of new rings.

Being careful, it is possible to press internal rings of bearings easy blows of the hammer through laying.

We put in a separator of the internal bearing and an internal cavity of a nave Litol-24 lubricant in number of about 40 g. We cover a new cuff with the same lubricant.

We install the internal bearing in a nave. We stack the remote plug.

Carefully we press a new cuff by means of the hammer and the suitable tool (an assembly shovel).

Trying not to damage a cuff, we establish a nave on a rotary fist.
We grease and establish an internal ring of the external bearing, a washer and we wrap a nave nut.
We regulate a gap in hug bearings (see Adjustment of a gap in hug bearings of a forward wheel) and we establish a protective cap. In a nave cap before its installation we put Litol-24 lubricant.
